A woman has given a shocking and disturbing excuse after falsely accusing a man she had never even met of attempted rape.
Anjela Borisova Urumova, a resident of Bristol Township, Pennsylvania, admitted to fabricating a story in which she claimed an unknown man tried to kidnap and assault her.
According to a report from the Bucks County District Attorney's Office, Urumova initially told officers that a 41-year-old man had attacked her in the parking lot of Redner's supermarket in Middletown Township on April 16, 2024.
The 20-year-old claimed that Daniel Pierson had pulled down her pants and struck her in the face during the alleged attack.
When she made her statement, Urumova reportedly had a visible injury on her lip and provided detailed descriptions of Pierson's vehicle to the police.
She described the vehicle as a dented dark blue Ford F-150 pickup truck with a 'thin blue line' sticker on the rear windshield.
After investigators identified Pierson based on her description, Urumova stated that she was '60 percent sure' he was the suspect during a photo lineup, according to Law&Crime.
Pierson, who was charged with multiple felonies, was held on a $1 million bail and spent a month in jail while police continued to investigate the case.

The Bucks County DA's office revealed that Middletown Township Police reviewed surveillance footage from multiple nearby retailers and examined Urumova's cellphone during their investigation.
The collected evidence exposed numerous inconsistencies and contradictions in Urumova's account of the alleged assault.
When confronted with these findings, Urumova reportedly admitted that she had fabricated the entire incident.
A copy of the criminal complaint obtained by Law&Crime revealed that Urumova had 'specifically targeted' Pierson because she had seen him and his truck before and decided to implicate him in her false claims.

Urumova later admitted that the injury on her lip was caused by her grandmother, who has dementia and had thrown an object at her. She used this injury to support her false accusation against Pierson.
The most appalling aspect of her confession came when Urumova revealed she accused Pierson simply because she thought he looked 'creepy'.
On Thursday, Urumova pleaded guilty to seven criminal charges tied to her fabricated claims. These charges include one count each of making a false alarm to an agency of public safety and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.
She also pleaded guilty to two counts of making false reports and three counts of providing unsworn falsifications to authorities.
Common Pleas Judge Stephen Corr deferred her sentencing to allow for a pre-sentence investigation to be conducted.
Pierson, who spent 31 days in jail, was ultimately cleared of all charges after authorities determined he had committed no crime. He was released, and the case against him was dropped.
